Catherine Gihlstorf is currently the Senior Manager of the Global Collaborations team within the Education Practice at SAS. She has 22+ years developing programs and providing leadership in educational related collaboration efforts. Within SAS, she cultivates relationships with traditional and non-traditional education providers to expand the variety and access of learning paths for developing analytically skilled individuals at all levels.
Prior to working for SAS, Catherine was the Program Director for the Center for Innovation in Learning at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She created the Instructional Technology group at Kenan-Flagler to support their new 21st century building complex and the growing set of international partnerships. Catherine developed the curriculum, instructional and technology support groups for the OneMBA global MBA and sat on the university wide Distance Learning Steering Committee.
Catherine holds a BS from Northwestern University and a Masters in Instructional Systems Design from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a certificate in the Management of Consumer Cooperatives from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Catherine is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer having served in the health sector in Sierra Leone, West Africa. She has been a coach and is now a regional and state level judge for the Odyssey of the Mind creativity competition.
