Nicole Anderson is the Assistant Vice President of Social Innovation at AT&T and President of the AT&T Foundation responsible for AT&T’s corporate philanthropic and social investment programs, including AT&T’s signature program, AT&T Aspire. AT&T Aspire drives innovation in education – through technology, social innovation and relationships – to ensure all students have the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Ms. Anderson was appointed to her current position in July of 2013. Prior to this assignment, she implemented an employee activation initiative encouraging sustainability that won the 2013 PR News/CSR Award for Workplace Innovation. Her other work within the Corporate Social Responsibility organization includes, developing the strategic roadmap for community engagement programs, and managing the day to day operations of the AT&T Foundation’s grant and employee giving programs.
Ms. Anderson began her AT&T career in 2003 with SBC. She has held management positions in various departments such as Industry Markets, External and Legislative Affairs, Network Services and Consumer Markets. Before joining AT&T, Ms. Anderson was a legislative anaylst for a U.S. House Representative, communications director for the University of California Office of Federal Government Relations, and an associate brand manager for the Coca-Cola company’s Minute Maid division.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at San Diego, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She serves as a trustee for America’s Promise Alliance and on the board of the Dallas Zoological Society.
A native Californian, she and her husband, Justin, and their two sons live in Dallas.
