Ron Mitchell is the CEO & Founder of Virgil Inc., a competency-based career navigation and recruiting platform that uses data-driven insights to improve outcomes. Over the past 15 years, Ron has built and managed technology-enabled consumer and enterprise businesses focused on leadership & professional development, which have assisted millions of professionals and job seekers. Prior to Virgil, Ron founded and served as CEO of CareerCore Inc., an enterprise SaaS platform that enables organizations to scale professional development coaching throughout the organizations. Through Virgil and CareerCore, Ron has delivered solutions to many of the world’s most prestigious organizations including JPMorgan, Omnicom, JCPenney, Southern Company, Visa and Accenture.
Prior to his work in the HR technology space, Ron spent several years as an investment banker and private equity professional. Ron was a General Partner of Provender Capital Group, LLC, a $160 million private equity group making principal investments in the areas of media, financial services and specialty retail. Ron’s professional experience also includes Morgan Stanley, Mitchell & Titus, McKinsey & Co. and The Anschutz Corporation.
Ron earned his AB from Harvard University and MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business where he served as President of his class. While at Harvard, Ron was a 3-time All-Ivy selection on the varsity basketball team and inducted into the Harvard Varsity Club Hall of Fame. Ron currently serves on the Harvard University Alumni Board of Directors.
