Hub Learning Session: Triangulate! What Works When Working To Learn
COVID-19 has changed the landscape of where learning happens and what learners should “know and be able to do.” The old focus on delivering a standardized academic curriculum within the four walls of a classroom has been displaced by an emphasis on working to learn many of the cutting-edge technology skills desired by employers. Today, and in the future, learners and the institutions that serve them will be evaluated less on achievement gaps and more on the ability to work to learn in an ever-changing ecosystem.
In our Hub 8 Learning Session, Triangulate! What works when working to learn, we will shift the focus away from developing curriculum and initiatives to implement in schools. Instead, we propose a new learning ecosystem built on talent triangles that include teachers, technical experts from the community, and technology platforms that support working to learn. At Close It 2019, we celebrated these triangles where we found them through our Talent Trios Award. This year, in Hub 8, we’re working with technology from our sponsors CompTIA and Epic Games to build more triangles. Join us on January 15 at 9:30 MT!
