Biography
Dr. Angela Jackson is a Partner at New Profit, a Boston based venture philanthropy firm where she leads the Future of Work strategy and investments. Most recently working in the private sector Dr. Jackson was the head of New Channels Marketing for Nokia and Retail Development at Viacom. After having lived and worked abroad in over 25 countries, in 2008, Dr. Jackson combined her corporate management experience with the expertise of language educators to found Global Language Project (GLP), an educational nonprofit leveraging world language learning to equip students for opportunities in higher education and the workforce. In just five years, Dr. Jackson raised more than $10 million dollars to change the trajectory of hundreds of young lives by empowering them with valuable knowledge in a second language. Dr. Jackson holds a doctorate from Harvard University where she was a Dean Kathleen McCartney Fellow.
