Biography

Charles Tsai is the Manager of Social Innovation Partnerships for the Fossil Foundation, which supports social entrepreneurs working to unleashing the power of underserved youth. Since 2005, he has worked as an educator and champion of young social innovators – both at Social Creatives, the charity he founded in Canada, and at Ashoka, the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs. He has developed social innovation curriculum and tools for Ashoka, the World Bank, and Adobe’s Youth Voices.
Charles began his career as a reporter and producer for CNN, working for the network’s newsmagazines and educational newscast, CNN Newsroom. He received a B.A. in English Literature and Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.A. in Journalism from Columbia University.
