Donna Diller
Biography
Donna Diller is currently Dean of the School of Business & Information Technology at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), where she also serves as Campus Director for CNM’s Montoya Campus in northeast Albuquerque. Donna has worked in higher education for 14 years, after discovering her passion for community colleges while serving as Director of Parents of All Ages, a welfare to work program at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska.
After working in management for over 15 years, she returned to college and earned her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management while working full-time and raising a family. She earned her master’s degree in Educational Administration with a focus on community colleges in 2010. Donna’s prior positions at CNM were Director of Hospitality & Tourism, full-time faculty member and Associate Dean of Business Management.
Donna is a member of the Competency Based Education Network (CBEN) and has led CNM Strategic Direction teams focused on accelerated degree programs and business incubators. As a non-traditional student herself, Donna relates to the challenges students face as they juggle work, family, and life while pursuing their education. Helping students to overcome challenges, succeed and achieve their dreams of becoming college graduates fuels her motivation every day.
As a native New Mexican, Donna is passionate about ensuring that our educational systems are aligned and always evolving to meet industry needs in order to grow and sustain a vibrant economy.
