Garrett Groves is Vice President of Business and Industry Partnerships for the Austin Community College District. He joined the college in February 2018 and leads the college’s efforts to identify emerging needs, evaluate opportunities for collaboration, and build strategic partnerships. He is also a scholar in residence at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas where he studies workforce practices and consumer credit conditions in the state. Before joining ACC, Groves directed the Economic Opportunity Program at the Center for Public Policy Priorities. He has also served at the National Governors Association. He has a master’s degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas-Austin and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver.
