Joe Morgan is Vice President, University Partnerships at Pearson Online Learning Services and leads partnership growth initiatives.
Prior to joining Pearson, Joe served as CEO of MaverixLab, which he founded in 2014 after spending 20 years creating and growing companies and advising early-stage founders. MaverixLab works to develop the innovation ecosystem in Miami through business incubation and providing skills-based technical education.
Prior to MaverixLab, Joe was the CEO of Noodle Education, a vertical search engine for both formal and informal education. Noodle was recognized by Forbes as one of the most disruptive startups in education technology and Mashable called Noodle one of 5 start-ups transforming education. The Obama White House recognized Noodle for building the most comprehensive API for assisting college bound students.
As Chief Marketing Officer, SVP of Strategy for Kaplan and Founder/CEO of Colloquy (wholly owned by the Washington Post Company), Joe was an innovator in online education, creating a technology and marketing platform for leading non-profit universities and publishers to deliver online education and content. Earlier in his career, Joe was President of the fastest growing company in restaurant/retailing with over 2,100 locations operating in 13 countries.
