Rachel Korberg

Rachel Korberg is a program officer with the foundation’s Future of Work(ers) initiative, which seeks to build a more just and inclusive future for workers in our rapidly changing economy. Previously, she was an associate director at the Rockefeller Foundation where she led a large portfolio of grants and partnerships focused on improving economic security and opportunity for working people. Several of her projects developed and tested innovative ways for cities, businesses, and worker organizations to leverage new technologies to enable workers to connect to greater opportunity and build wealth and power. Rachel also co-designed and co-led the Communities Thrive Challenge, a $10 million collaborative funding partnership between Rockefeller and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

Earlier, Rachel was vice president for Social Impact at Serengeti Capital, an investment firm headquartered in Accra, Ghana. She began her career working in strategy and evaluation on economic recovery and local governance programs throughout Central Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. She was also a research assistant to a former World Bank president and supported the development of USAID’s first LGBTQI policy.

Rachel has a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, a master’s degree in global affairs from Yale University, and executive education in innovation and human-centered design from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She serves on the board of the Stonewall Community Foundation.
