Biography

Roti is currently the Global Head, Organization & Talent Development for GE Power, responsible for the holistic design and strategy execution of the Gas Power business for the GE company. He serves as a key business partner to the Global CEO & CHRO enabling culture, talent and diversity practices for 40,000+ employees across 170 countries worldwide based out of the business headquarters in New York, Schenectady.

Prior to this, he was the Chief HR Officer of GE Africa leading the overall people strategy and operations for the company across its portfolio of businesses with 3000+ employees across 25 countries in the region.  He joined GE as the Chief Learning and Talent Officer in 2016, responsible for the integrated organization, talent, and skills development strategy for the company with. Before that he worked at Ericsson where he spent over a decade across range of diverse roles spanning Engineering, Talent Management, Business Partnering & Learning Leadership roles across the continent. He started his career as a software analyst in ARM Holdings Cambridge UK, after completing his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Electronics & Software Engineering from Loughborough University UK. Through his professional career and passion for life-long learning, he attained an MBA from the Imperial College London Business School, a Pg. HR Diploma from Cornell and recently a master’s & impending doctorate degree in Education (Ed. D) from the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education (GSE)

Roti has been recognized locally and internationally as a thought leader in the areas of national capacity and skills development. He is an entrepreneur at heart, passionate about the impact of technology on education and serves as a director on several boards of various indigenous technology start-up brands on the continent. He is a member of the association of talent development (ATD), a certified coach from the international coaching federation (ICF). He speaks regularly on innovation & sustainable education development in Africa at various conferences globally.
