The SHIFT Legacy Award honors individuals whose leadership, innovation, and lifelong dedication have shaped the way we work, hire, and grow talent. These pioneers have spent over 20 years advancing workforce inclusion, equity, opportunity, and innovation. Their innovative impact continues to influence working and learning.

This award recognizes those who didn’t just adapt to shifts in the world of work—they created, enhanced, and/or influenced them.

Eligibility:

  • Individual nominees only (not organizations)

  • Minimum of 20 years of demonstrated impact in the work and learn ecosystem

  • May be retired, active, or serving in an advisory or leadership capacity

  • Contributions may include innovation, advocacy, mentorship, research, or systems-level change

The BEST PLACES to LEARN Award recognizes employers and institutions that have created exceptional learning cultures—where employees, teams, and students are empowered to grow skills, advance careers, and drive innovation. These organizations demonstrate sustained commitment to training, mentorship, career development, and continuous learning programs that make a measurable difference in performance, engagement, and retention.

Eligibility:

  • Organizations, employers, or educational institutions

  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and development programs

  • Evidence of impact on employees, students, or the broader community
